Speaking to the Entrepreneurial Sudbury Community
Our webinars and events are hosted by the Innovation Quarters and the Regional Business Centre at the City of Greater Sudbury. The main participants in our webinars are new startups or existing entrepreneurs with many businesses being in an early ideation stage. These events are also open to the public to attend, and we encourage our speakers to share these events within their networks.
What Are We Looking for in a Speaker?
We are looking for individuals with entrepreneurship experience, or professional knowledge and expertise in relevant business topics. Our webinars are educational and/or inspirational with a set of varied pre-planned topics. However, we are happy to coordinate new potential topics with you.
Our events should not be a sales pitch but rather focused on educating new and existing entrepreneurs on best business practices or sharing your success story. We welcome you to share your business information and encourage collaboration and connections post-event.
We record our events and share them in full or in part on our website and socials. If you would prefer that this event not be recorded, please let us know.
We offer two webinar formats:
- Presentation – where you present on your chosen topic using a slide deck with room at the end for questions.
- Discussion – where our coordinator asks you a series of casual questions and you explain your professional lived experience and chosen path with Q&A at the end.
About our webinar format
- 5 minutes – Introductions by the Innovation Quarters
- 45 minutes – Speaker Presentation
- 10 minutes – Q&A
- 1 hour total typically starting at 12:00 pm
